The Palio of Taranto
The Palio is a regatta of rowing boats coupled to the ten districts of the city. It takes place around the island of the ancient town, where the contenders, strictly in medieval clothes, go for the most beautiful and characteristic of Taranto. They will be also organized presentations and tastings of local food and wine products, show cooking and tastings on board fishing boats moored along Via Garibaldi .. Every year in May.
