Festa dei Ceri
The origins of this festival are ancient: some scholars date it back to the pagan ceremonies in honor of the Umbrian deities (Cerfus) or Roman (Ceres). The Ceri are three wooden machines in the form of octagonal prisms and decorated, weighing about 4 tons, carried triumphantly on the shoulders of ceraioli in honor of St. Ubaldo, the patron saint of the city .. Every year in May.
